Bank for International Settlements
The Toronto Innovation Centre was established by the Switzerland-based Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in collaboration with the Bank of Canada in June 2024. It is one of seven such centres around the world set up by the BIS Innovation Hub, which aims to develop public goods in the technology space to support central banks and improve the functioning of the financial system. The multidisciplinary team in the Toronto office will explore the development of new technologies to make the financial system more efficient and inclusive throughout the Americas.
