The Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus (SRIC) West at the University of Toronto, designed by Weiss/Manfredi in collaboration with Teeple Architects, has been recognized with an OAA Design Excellence Award.

Conceived as a vertical campus, SRIC advances the University of Toronto’s mission of connecting academic research and entrepreneurial activity at a pivotal site between campus, Queen’s Park, and the Discovery District. The 13-storey building establishes a new gateway to the university while publicly accessible winter gardens link research neighborhoods and open to terraces overlooking the Toronto skyline. Designed as a cutting-edge hub for AI and Humanities, SRIC fosters collaboration, interaction, and programmatic flexibility within a dense urban setting. Integrating adaptability, openness, and civic presence, it offers a future-forward model rooted in urban, social, and ethical engagement for contemporary research culture.

Esas Gayrimenkul’ün stratejik liderliğinde, sürdürülebilirliği operasyonel mükemmellikle birleştiren “Alışveriş Merkezlerinde Yapay Zeka Destekli Enerji Verimliliği“ projemiz, küresel ölçekte çok daha güçlü bir evreye adım atıyor. SKD Türkiye, AYD, Türkiye Bilişim Vakfı ve Akademetre ile kurulan güçlü ekosistem; Nobel ödüllü Geoffrey Hinton’ın kurucu ortağı olduğu Vector Institute’un teknik desteğiyle projenin ikinci fazını resmen başlattı.

Yapay zeka teknolojilerini merkeze alan bu iş birliği; iklim verilerini ve ziyaretçi yoğunluğunu analiz ederek HVAC sistemlerini optimize etmeyi, böylece enerji tüketimini ve karbon emisyonunu minimize etmeyi hedefliyor. Veri temelli ve ölçeklenebilir bir model inşa ederek iklim kriziyle mücadelede teknolojinin dönüştürücü gücüne odaklanıyoruz.
